What is pickleball? A fun sport that combines many of the elements of tennis, paddle tennis, badminton and ping-pong. Pickleball is played across the country on tennis courts, gyms, recreation center floors and even parking lots.

What is the size of the court? The court is the same size as a paddle tennis court (20 feet x 44 feet) with the net at the same height (34 inches). While you don’t use the screens like paddle tennis, the court boundaries are the same, with two additional lines extending the service boxes and the "no volley zone” seven feet from the net.

What equipment is used? Pickleball paddles are made of lightweight composite materials including wood, aluminum and graphite. The ball is similar to a whiffle ball and travels at a third the speed of a tennis ball.

Who can play? Pickleball is a game for everyone. There are now 2.5 million pickleball players participating in one of the fastest growing sports in the country. Pickleball is an easy game to pick up for kids and adults alike. With the smaller court, pickleball has attracted many players who have retired from tennis and paddle tennis due to injuries or joint pain.

How is pickleball scored? Most games are to 11 points. The serving team can only score a point when serving. The serve must be hit cross-court with an underhand motion.
